We are dedicated to the overall health and flourishing of Christian leaders and their spouses. Many live under the immense weight and pressure of leadership. They can feel alone, burnt out, and frustrated with the cycle of serving without feeling poured into. We believe it doesn't have to be that way.

David’s journey with Jesus has always been one of being called by God, out of the blue. To receive him at age 11. To leave everything he loved and attend Asbury College. To go into ministry by starting a youth program in Carrollton, OH. To join the staff in the planting of Kensington Church in Troy, MI where he served multiple positions f
David’s journey with Jesus has always been one of being called by God, out of the blue. To receive him at age 11. To leave everything he loved and attend Asbury College. To go into ministry by starting a youth program in Carrollton, OH. To join the staff in the planting of Kensington Church in Troy, MI where he served multiple positions for 13 years. To move to California and pursue his Masters degree in Theology. And ultimately, to follow Him to Salt Lake City and lead a team in planting K2 the Church. After serving K2 for 22 years, the call came out of the blue once more to step down from that position and take the next step of faith by pouring into leaders and their spouses through We Serve. After 39 years of ministry, it is his deep seeded belief that Jesus calls the shots and we simply follow Him with reckless faith and self-sacrificing love. His greatest desire is to know Christ in this way and now help leaders make Jesus their #1 pursuit as well. He can’t believe he gets to do this with his greatest gift on the planet, his wife Susie. You’ll find him on the golf course, cheering (mostly moaning) for the Detroit Lions, or cooking up something new.

After growing up in the mountains of Colorado, Susie became a student-leader for Athletes in Action and Cru at Idaho State University–and her heart was captured for Jesus, for the world, and for the training of young followers of Christ. She served on staff with Cru for nine years post graduation before meeting and marrying Dave–and subse
After growing up in the mountains of Colorado, Susie became a student-leader for Athletes in Action and Cru at Idaho State University–and her heart was captured for Jesus, for the world, and for the training of young followers of Christ. She served on staff with Cru for nine years post graduation before meeting and marrying Dave–and subsequently leaving Cru, her beloved mountains, and everything else, to live in the suburbs of Detroit, become a “pastor’s wife,” and start a family. In 2003 Dave and Susie hauled their two little daughters and all their belongings back to the mountains, to Salt Lake City, where they planted K2 The Church and gave themselves, side-by-side, to that congregation for more than twenty years. During those years, Susie served as an interim Director of Life Together for K2, published a book, helped lead mission trips to Africa, and started a small floral design studio–but mostly she just loved her husband, her kids, and her people. She is passionate about all of them, but mostly about Jesus.
